[Mitarepo] Investigating the dimensional reproducibility of scan data with 'COPYT3D' featuring a minimum point spacing of 0.03mm! | System Create

"Mitarepo" is a series that introduces what can be done using various products with the concept of "I tried doing this!" From the wide range of product genres handled by System Create, we deliver useful information each time. In Vol. 82, we scanned a workpiece using the stationary type 3D scanner "COPYT3D FX" and examined the dimensional reproducibility of the acquired data. The stationary type 3D scanner "COPYT3D" has made its debut!! Since the scanning field can be adjusted, it can accommodate everything from small to large items. Moreover, it is equipped with a high-resolution camera, allowing for scanning of intricate details! This raises the question... how accurately can it scan!? Therefore, this time we measured the dimensions of the scanned data to investigate its reproducibility. We prepared two types of workpieces and examined the quality of the scans for each. We explain the reproducibility and performance of the 3D scanner with images and tables based on the results. You can download the materials from the button below.

Shining3D 3D Scanner EinScan PRO HD

Multifunctional, high-resolution handheld 3D scanner.

By equipping the latest projector module, stripe pattern scanning, which could only be used with fixed scanning until now, can now be utilized in HD Scan Mode. Thanks to the scanning technology that has been reduced to just 0.2mm between points, it is now possible to output accurate and high-resolution data. The combination of the latest projector module and software has also improved the ability to scan difficult materials such as black or dark-colored materials and metals, significantly increasing the variety of materials that can be accommodated. The EinScan Pro HD has achieved dramatic improvements in scanning capacity. As a result, it can process 3,000,000 points in 1 second for handheld scanning and 0.5 seconds for fixed mode. Since the object is being monitored by many sensors and methods, the scanner and the object can be moved during scanning. In fixed mode, it can scan with an accuracy of 0.04mm. In handheld scanning with markers, it can scan with an accuracy of 0.045mm (error ±0.3mm/m).
